The best part of the day was being shown around the Vauxhall Vectra team pit garage. There were quite a few restrictions on what I could take pictures of. I couldn't take pictures of the interior of the car, or the engine, or the wheels if the road wheel and tyres were not fully fitted. I can say that the dashboard looked like a spaceship and the engine was almost unrecognisable as it consisted almost entirely of a single black box that a: helped keep things secret and b: meant they could change it for another black box in a matter of minutes. If only production cars were that easy to repair!
