It's only really since I got a digital camera that I've started photographing the sky. I've always been fascinated by weather and have tried to photograph it in the past but it's luminosity and colour don't seem to record well on film. I think it must be the blue element. Film is by nature a CMY colour process and cannot capture pure blue but digital cameras are RGB colour devices and the Kodak DC120 in particular seems very good at capturing the subtle shades of tone and colour in clouds.
